The NetKit 100 series comprises 2 cases:
• a SILVER ‘Core Kit’ Case
• a BLACK ‘Vault Storage’ Case
On the back of the SILVER ‘Core Kit’ Case you will find the following 3 ports:
• (A) Power (blue)
• (B) Starlink (red)
• (C) External PoE WiFi (black)
Note: the Core Kit Case does not open
Inside the BLACK ‘Vault Storage’ Case you will find:
• (A) a Yellow power cable (5m length)
• (B) a Starlink (on 5m cable with Red connector)
• (C) an External WiFi antenae (on 15m Blue ethernet)
• (D) an Ethernet Adapter (to plug into a computer if wanting to use the external poe wifi port without PoE). WARNING: plugging a computer directly into the external poe wifi port without this adapter may damage your computer
Note: (C) & (D) are optional only
HOW TO SET UP THE NETKIT:
1) Identify the best position for the Starlink
• off the ground in an open area with few trees or buildings is ideal as it needs to see as much sky as possible (High, clear views to south, and from east to west horizon is ideal)
• point the top of the Starlink towards the north (so it faces south)
2) Identify the best position for the Core Kit case
• it’s also generating the wifi so put it where you want wifi.
• it can sit with (beneath) the Starlink if practical (or anywhere within 5m of it. Again preferably off the ground)
3) Plug the Starlink cable into the red port on the Core Kit case (B)
• the white tabs on the connector should sit at the top (as shown in the picture). Holding the back half of the connector align the ethernet plug with the ethernet port, once in position gently wiggle the inner half of the connector to find the connection groove. Turn tightly to the right until you feel it lock into place.
4) Plug the Power cable into the Core Kit case (A), then into mains power.
YOUR NETKIT WILL NOW POWER UP & CONNECT.
OPTIONAL EXTRAS:
5) If you need to get the WiFi inside a truck or somewhere slightly obstructed that is away from the kit location: plug in the External Wifi cable (C) and run the antenae to the desired location.
6) If you want to connect by ethernet directly into a computer: plug the Ethernet Adapter (D) into the ethernet port on your computer and connect via a standard ethernet cable (not supplied) to the External PoE WiFi (C) port. WARNING: plugging a computer directly into the external poe wifi port without this adapter may damage your computer.
